Planning Constraints

The planning constraints are based on the famous project management triangle (or iron triangle).

Purpose

The planning constraints are based on the famous project management triangle (or iron triangle). A fundamental choice for value streams, projects, features, or tasks is which of these constraints to set as “fixed” and which ones as “flexible”.

Project planning is a matter of selecting the work, resources, time, and desired quality of the value that is delivered.

“Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.”
