Multi-voting

Decision Method

Multi-voting (Ranking) means everyone ranks a selection of their favorite options. The best rankings calculate the decision.

Purpose

Multi-voting, often referred to as Ranking, is a comprehensive decision-making method where participants are tasked with organizing a list of options in order of their preference. Instead of merely choosing one favorite or assigning a uniform weight to several options, participants rank them, giving a clear hierarchy to their choices. This method allows for a more nuanced understanding of group preferences. Once all participants have ranked the options, their rankings are aggregated to calculate an overall score for each option. The option with the best cumulative ranking, after considering everyone's input, is deemed the top choice. Multi-voting ensures that decisions account for the broader perspective of the group, highlighting both strong favorites and acceptable compromises.

Notes

Multi-voting offers a structured approach that encourages active participation and allows for the identification of popular choices.
