Intermittent
Time Commitment
The team member has a short-term commitment to the Crew or Forum but dedicates a variable amount of time to it, depending on circumstances.
Time Commitments: Fixed • Flexible • Temporary • Intermittent
Purpose
There are times when a person’s contribution in a context necessarily fluctuates each week, while at the same time, that person also works for only a relatively short period, either because of limited demand or because of limited availability.
Notes
An example of this pattern could be a professional copy editor for a book. They would work on this project for only a few weeks, and, in most cases, their workload varies per week depending on their clients and other engagements.
Rules / Constraints
This pattern can be combined with other patterns in many ways. We have not yet identified any limiting constraints.
In many cases, a person with an Intermittent time commitment in one context will also have an Intermittent time commitment in other contexts.
